Abstract

The article is devoted to the historiography of the last mass migration of Bulgarians in the Russian Empire during 1861-1863. It is concluded that the research of Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Moldovan and Russian authors of the second half of 20th - beginning of 21st century made it possible to move away from the one-word-Slavophile Russophile or Russophobic concepts and come to understand the need for a comprehensive review of the process that caused the causes of mass migration of Bulgarians.
