Abstract
The article is devoted to dictations as one of the methods of organization of educational activities of students in the classroom. It is stressed that dictations, as a form of educational work, are of different types (textual, selective, free and creative), each of which has its own peculiarities. They help to form valuable skills of regulated work, ability to adhere to the established order and rhythm.
