Abstract

Spas National Martial Art is today an element of the  cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people and embodies all the traditions of Cossack martial art as an integral part of the culture of Ukrainians. Formed at the time of the birth of Zaporizhzhya Cossacks, the culture of martial arts has received its modern embodiment in the martial arts «Spas», which inspires and promotes the cultural heritage of the Cossack era. Education of the modern nation on the basis of the martial culture of the Ukrainian people and, directly, the martial custom of «Spas», will give the opportunity to form in the Ukrainian society ideologically, physically and militarily prepared layer of the population, will become the basis for the revival of the spiritual traditions of the Cossacks, will provide an opportunity to create Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
