The importance of vegetation, especially forests as a recreational resource is very high. A person’s stay in an environment of forest landscapes has a beneficial effect on his physical and emotional health. Forests to the greatest extent contribute to increasing the oxygen content in the air and its ionization, absorption of carbon dioxide, and air purification from various types of pollution. Of particular importance are the forests of territories that have the full range of natural and other conditions necessary for the development of recreation and tourism: a favourable climate, transport and pedestrian access, the presence of clean reservoirs, beautiful landscapes, etc. These are the conditions that characterize the Staroberdyansk and Bogatyr forestries of the Zaporizhzhya region. Therefore, they are actively involved in the recreational and tourist activities of students.
