Abstract
Main directions of many years of scientific activity of the foster child then the professor of St. Vladimir Kyiv University K.A. Purievicha are analyzed. His great contribution to the development of phytophysiology in Ukraine is underlined. The most important publications of the scientist devoted to the different aspects of plant physiology are characterized.
