Риби Червоної книги України: перспективи та проблеми формування нового переліку видів

The Red Data Book of Ukraine is an official state document
containing a list o f protected species. Unfortunately, for its preparation, a formal assessment of the status o f ish populations was used which was due to the lack o f systematic ichthyological data. In addition, most of the resources available for now do not allow an analysis of changes in fish ranges or estimation of their numbers. The proposed study can become a basis for producing maps o f distribution offish species in Ukraine. In the long run, the accumulated data will make it possible to carry out a long-term analysis and determine which species o f ish are really endangered.
