Abstract
Educational games strengthen students' intellectual and physical energy, generating secondary motivation, and cyclicality provides an increased pace of school work, facilitating the process of learning and consolidating knowledge. It is important to use new gaming technologies in geography lessons because it helps to form and strengthen students' knowledge of the surrounding reality, allows students to see geographical objects and phenomena that are at a considerable distance and inaccessible for direct viewing, creates a pleasant atmosphere in the classroom and provides a more dynamic learning process. The use of gaming technologies in geography lessons contributes to the development of thinking and the learning of terms and geographical concepts that are quite difficult to understand.
