Abstract

The article deals with the different approaches to the problem of correlation between language and
culture. The article stresses that language is one of the most important achievements of human social history, a
component of culture and its tools. Language acts as a phenomenon of both culture and nature.
The article gives the analysis of the plan of language content. Modern knowledge reveals an
impressively deep interpenetration of nature and culture, and language is one of its brightest manifestations.
The conclusion is made that just as in the culture of each nation there is a universal and ethno-national
components, so in the semantics of each language there is a reflection of both the general, universal component
of cultures and the originality of the culture of a particular people
