Abstract
The widespread use of biomedical monitoring methods is an important condition
for maintaining the genetic safety of the population. Other human health and heredity
measures are also used: control of environmental mutagens; search and use of antimutagens
(in harmful industries, in emergencies during accidents); control of new ecological and
genetic factors (food and medicines); implementation of a moderate ethnodemographic
policy (optimization of migration processes, differential stimulation of birth rates);
development of medical and genetic counseling, including prenatal diagnosis of hereditary
defects.
