Резюме
The special role of professional education in the modern world, turning it into the most important sphere of human activity determines the problem of training future specialists as one of the priority. With the question of assessing the quality of training future specialists, the formation of their competitiveness remains poorly researched. Dynamic changes taking place in the world caused the search for effective ways of modernizing various aspects of society's life, its so cial institutions, including the system of higher professional education. Political and socio - economic transformations at the present stage of the state's development have set new challenges both in the educational system as a whole and in the professional training of future teachers of physical culture, since it plays a significant role in shaping the cultural values of the individual, increasing the scientific and intellectual potential of the country, viability and the health of generations of citizens. If the teachers' professional training, despite all the new forms and changes, is provided by higher pedagogical educational institutions of the ІII - IV level of accreditation at an appropriate level of quality, then the training of physical education teach ers does not satisfy the modern needs of society: they are mostly lacking in diverse, first of all sporting - gaming specialization, which largely determines the success of the implementation of the main functions of pedagogical activity, their competitiven ess in the market of educational services, readiness for sports - games work in a modern school environment.
